Respite Care is a break for caregivers by allowing us to temporarily take over some care giving duties. Used on a regular basis, Respite Care provides caregiver relief, by relieving some of the workload and stress. If you or your loved one has recently been hospitalized and required supervised care while recovering, Respite/Convalescent program that is tailored for a supervised short term recovery stay. Our trained staff will develop a care plan based on your needs and supervise the personal care services that are required. These services can include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, medication management and assistance of activities with daily living. Cost is on a per day basis and is inclusive of meals, accommodation and care services.

We also offer vacation and caregiver relief to ensure peace of mind when planning your next vacation. You can relax with the knowledge that they well be cared for in a safe and secure environment while you are away. If you are the primary care giver we understand that you may need a break from everyday stresses. Our personal care home offers full servicepackages that include everything your loved one will need during their stay with us.
Important: Respite Care is 30 days in a full calendar year. All Applicants seeking residency at Crosswinds Seniors Resort must have a medical and financial assessment completed by your local Community Health Nurse in your area. Staff at Crosswinds DO NOT complete assessments. Assessments can take up to 8 weeks, please schedule your appointment in advance.
